WDGA Youth Representative Position Description
Overview of Duties:
- Assist the State Fair Youth Committee.
- The WDGA Youth Representative will represent the Wisconsin Dairy Goat Association at the Wisconsin State Fair Youth and Open Dairy Goat Shows, WDGA State Show, and other regional shows as they are able.
- Assist with the awards ceremonies at the Wisconsin State Fair Shows
- Assist with Youth Programming at the WDGA Fall Conference.
- Assist Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotion Board member Kayla Adamson with the ‘Dairy Lane’ educational dairy goat booth at the Wisconsin State Fair.
- Provide dairy promotions through newspaper articles, radio interviews, and other
media, or attending and/or speaking at special events as requested. - The WDGA Youth Representative(s) and/or runner-up must wear an official name badge or themed WDGA clothing (supplied by the association) when acting in official capacity.
- The selected Youth Representative(s) must present an oral year-end report at the Fall
General Membership meeting. - The Wisconsin Dairy Goat Association agrees to underwrite the mileage one-way, from home to any association sponsored function that the WDGA Youth Representative is asked or required to attend.
- In the event that the winner is unable to fulfill his/her duties, the runner-up will assume the responsibilities.
